We are looking at upgrading our DW database server to SQL Server 2012 but would like to keep our SSRS server at 2008 R2 for now. Can SSRS 2008 R2 have SQL Server 2012 data sources? I imagine I could install the SQLNCLI11 provider on the SSRS server and reference the new provider in the connection string. Yes, no, maybe so?
