Really stupid question, but I have to ask - do I have to have SQL server installed to be able to create reports using SSRS? I'm assuming I do, because based on all of the tutorials I've looked at, whenever they begin to create a report, the report project type is already available to them to select, whereas I don't have it.
Also, am I correct in assuming that to create a report using report builder, the report already has to have been created in SSRS?
I'm a total newbie to this, but I'm quickly discovering that the reporting options that are currently available to me are not scalable or supportable for my organization's reporting requirements, hence the dumb questions.
