ASP.NET and SSRS - How Can I get a report list for user by using a custom security extension

I have this project where I am to create a SSRS instance for external(non-AD) users. Also, in the requirements, is the ability to pass parameters to the report dynamically without the user seeing it.

What I would like to do is get a list of the reports the users has access to and customize the links that send them to a reports page utilizing the report viewer.

The issue with this is that I don't know of a way to authenticate the user in order to get the report list. I have seen code that does get a list of reports, but uses the default network credentials.

Is there either a way to do this using a cookie authentication or is there a better/easier way to do what I am trying to do in general? Also, if you could point me in the direction of finding code to support this, that would be helpful.
