Hi,
I'm working to migrate a bunch of reports from Access to SSRS 2008. The Access reports are currently opened from a custom access form that provides support for report parameters and creates a SQL where clause that is then passed to the report using the "WhereCondition" parameter of the DoCmd.OpenReport function in Access. Basically, Access supports creation of dynamic WHERE clauses and arbitrarily passing those in to pre-defined reports to restrict the result set of the report.
My question is, is there any equivalent (or workaround) to this in SSRS? I understand that SSRS supports report parameters, but they are pre-defined and part of the report definition. There are cases where the filter for my reports will be programmatically generated and it will be a major pain/redundancy if I have to create pre-defined SSRS parameters for every possible field.
Thanks for any insight,
Kyle
