Maybe you saw this problem before. I have one report and inside two sub reports. I have the following error when I want to export to Excel: [Object reference not set to an instance of an object] . The logic is the following.
I have one report and inside two sub reports. I have to hide the first report when there’s no data to show. And this is exactly the problem. If I have no data, I’m hiding it and showing only the second one. Then when I have to export to Excel, it gives me the above error. As a note, this problem happens only when the there’s no data in the first report and I do have data in the second one. Also, this problem happens when exporting to Excel only . I have no such issue when exporting to PDF or other formats..
And idea will be greatly appreciated..
