I am trying to do the example on page 414 of Brian Larson's book on 2005 Reporting Services and I get the above error. The report runs just fine in Visual Studio but not when the report is deployed to Report Manager. No matter what login credentials I use I get the same message. This leads me to believe that there is a fundamental problem with Report Manager or its configuration or Brian's assumptions. (The database and report services are running on the same PC.)
Brian's book contains NO problem resolution help (he assumes everything always runs fine.) And Report Manager itself does not appear to contain any tools which might help.
Do I need to reboot services (or something) when I deploy a report? I am at a dead-end if I can not get this working!
