How to change SSRS 2008 R2 Date Format for report parameters

Thanks for all your previous responses and your time.!! Really Appreciate a lot:)

I have one other question in SSRS:

There  is a DB2 stored proc with From Date and To Date Parameters  having the data type "DATE"  and one of the values being 2011-01-11  this is the resultset (date format) of the stored proc.

When I call the stored proc in SSRS, the report parameters properties window , parameters are automatically taking Text as their Data Type. 

And When I change it to Date/Time, and select the date values which take the format 1/11/2012 I get an an error " Data type overflow"  since 2011-01-11 doesnot match with 1/11/2012.

Can you please help.
