In our project Machine MS SQL server 2008 standard is installed. Now I want to install/overwirte the exisiting version with MS SQL server 2008 R2 64 bit standard. Now question are
1. Is it possible to overwite the MS SQL 2008 standard version using the MS SQL server 2008 R2 setup file (with out uninstalling the previous version)?
2. If I uninstall the previous MS SQL 2008 standard version and install the MS SQL server 2008 R2 standard version, will that work or I need to format the whole machine for fresh installation?
