Hi. I'm trying to get up to speed with Cubes and how to best modify them.
I have inherited a sql server 2008 / Project server environment and I'm specifically looking as the OlapTimesheet Cube template within Business Intelligence Center templates. Users are using Excel files which reference this Cube via ODC connections. They have asked that the cube is updated to include other dimensional fields. I can see these fields within SSAS on the DEV server - however how do I actually modify the Cube to include these dimensions? I can script cubed as / alter to but this just gives me XML.
Do I need to install BIDS on the DEV server (or on a remote server), connect and then update?
