Good afternoon. Please could someone help me. I am the CEO of a company that has been using Microsoft products, and SQL in particular, for more than 17 years. During this time we have delivered many products and services based on these platforms and I have become a huge fan of Microsoft and its products. * months ago one of our developers convinced us that we should use SSRS as our preferred reporting tool for reports and dashboards. We looked at examples and decided that it suited our requirements. We have produced a few reports that have been very good but have run into what we are being told is a performance issue with SSRS. The development of a report that takes a reading every 15 minutes in a day is timing out. That is only 96 readings per day. I want to show each reading on the graph so that all movement is clear on the graph. The developer tells me that this is to much data for SSRS to handle and this is causing a timeout. I have been running in circles for six months now and I am at my wits end. Could someone please tell me what size data sets can SSRS work with. I cannot believe that I can produce a graph in excel and yet it times out SQL. I think I am being fed a yarn but do not have the technical ability to question it.
HELP PLEASE> I AM DESPERATE!!!!
