We have been experiencing problems with our SQL Reporting Services on our Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 server where we have Dynamics GP 2010 with SQL 2008 (SP3) - 10.0.5512.0 installed.
Every 5 minutes or so, the SQL Reporting Services crash and the following event is logged on the server:
Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7031 Date: 11/27/2012 Time: 3:25:04 PM User: N/A Computer: server-name Description: The SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 4090 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
When the service terminates 'sc query ReportServer' has a Win32_Exit_code of 1067 (0x42b).
The server is completely patched to include all Windows and SQL patches and service packs.
I did run across an article that describes this situation but it was for 2008 R2 and states that it was fixed in a previous update patch. This seems that it started about two weeks ago but we haven't been able to identify what caused it.
Thanks in advance for the help.
