Initial data Load and Filters using Report Parameters

Hi,

I need to create a report which has a single filter (Report Parameter) whose
 datatype is integer. So, my requirement is

(1) In the Initial load the report should display the complete data

(2) Based on the input provided on the filter, i need to display the data which 
matches the filter.

I am not sure of how to implement (1) above.

Please help me out.
