SQL 2014/RS 2014
We migrated from SQL 2012 to SQL 2014 today. During testing everything worked fine. Today when trying to run reports from our website we're getting the error "The permissions granted to user 'DOMAIN/USERNAME' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)."
We've compared our setup to RS 2012 and it appears to be exactly the same. In RS I went to Site Settings/Security and added our domain user as a System Administrator. The same domain user is used in RS as a System Administrator in both 2012 and 2014. The only way we get the error to go away is to change the web.config file in our app to use the domain administrator account/credentials. As soon as we do that the reports in the website work just fine. But not when we use the same user/credentials that we were using in RS 2012. Our suspicion is that something is more locked down in SQL/RS 2014 or Windows 2012 R2, but we can't identify it. Has anyone else experienced this error on the same platform? Again let me reiterate; our configuration of RS 2014 is identical to RS 2012 as far as we can tell. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
Thanks, Andre
