I have a report with 2 individual parameters that executes fine the first time. After executing, I wait approximately 45 seconds, and when I change the parameters again and click 'View Report', the parameters revert to default then executes with default parameters. I confirmed this with SQL Profiler. This is causing frustration with some users and I'm not sure what's causing this. It seems like there's a 45 second timeout where the whole page has to refresh.
NOTE parameters are NOT cascading. They are independent of each other.
Here is some troubleshooting I have tried:
- Parameter Advanced Options set to 'Never Refresh'
- Parameter Data pulling from Dataset (hard-coded default value still has this issue)
- I found one computer that this doesn't refresh the parameters. An old XP machine with IE 8.0.6001.18702. Win7 IE8 machines have this problem
- Tried clearing browser history, changing IE security options
- Tried 4 different computers with different IE versions. Tried other browsers
EDIT:
I just tested a different report on a Win 7 machine, with only a single parameter. When the user changes the parameter and scrolls through the pages, the screen will suddenly refresh and revert the parameter back to default.
I'm using SSRS 2012 RS Add-in for SharePoint v 11.1.3000.0
