I am running SSRS on one server (SQL version 2012) and am attempting to connect to a data source on another server (SQL 2008R2). I am experiencing inconsistencies being able to connect and maintain the connection to my data source. I am able to connect data source to db's on other servers on our network without problem. I have turned off Windows Firewall on the server I'm experiencing inconsistencies with. Any suggestions what else I could look for that could cause slow or inconsistent connections to data sources?
