Visual Studio 2012 Report Designer - How to pass parameters to stored procedure

I am creating some local reports in VS 2012 and have run into a snag. I am able to create a data set and so on based on a stored procedure, but unlike in the Report Builder 3 I cannot seem in the designer to access the stored proc parameters to tie them to report parameters. Does the designer in VS 2012 not let you do this? If does how do you do it? Could I achive it via the XML in the rdlc file? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
