Was looking at an existing report and something seemed strange. Ive not used a matrix before, but there were two "tables" on the report. One had dashed lines between the header and the row below it. The 2nd table used the same dataset as this table, yet it showed multiple rows that included the details. Looking at these "tables" in the designer, it was obvious that the top table didnt have any detail rows (indicated by the lack of small lines in the row headers), whereas the 2nd table did.
So my questions are:
- Looking at an existing SSRS 2008 report in design mode, how can one tell if a give table is a matrix or a table?
- If a table has no "detail" rows, how can they be added?
