SSRS 2008 R2 :Print quality of the Microsoft provided indicator better or a custom image made from photoshop tools is better

I have this question to all the Microsoft folks out there .

In SSRS 2008 r2 we get Microsoft provided indicator buttons which are of many shapes and color.

When a certain shape is not upto our requirement we go and use external photoshop tool and build the indicator .E,g say we didnt like Microsoft circle indicator ,we go ahead build our indicator image and then import it in the report.

Now when we print the report, the color and the blending with the background color (say bkgd color is WHITE)on the report is better in which implementation

A.Microsoft provided indicator?

B.Our customized image indicator?

From my experience i see the blending of the Microsoft indicator is perfect as the image I built(using photoshop or any image editor tools)gave me a white inconsistent background color although it looked whiter in background but when rendered was not soft and blended.

The gauge panel of Microsoft indicator is key to blending .
