IE 10 doesn't support the SSRS Report Drop Down Functionality.
It works fine with IE 9:
The drop down arrow functionality only works with IE9 SSRS server for folders and reports. It does not work with IE 10.
Please advise.

I,m trying to create a link from SSRS to an excel sheet that is placed on a server (in my case the same server as Sql is running)
\\csedb30\BusinessWarehouse\VDC\Actual\exceltest.xlsx. I have made links to url sites and to other reports within reporting services, But this time i would like to use a textbook control in a report and when the user click on the texbox it should open up the excel sheet in the same way that a hyperlink works in excel. The problem seems to be that i have to link to a source on a server not a URL adress.
Is there any solution to this.

I have created a report and deployed it to the reporting server. I went to the reporting manager and i can see the report under my reports folder. The strange thing is i can see the report when i click and select the "Edit in the Report Builder" , but when i click on the report to view it i'm getting the below message, any ideas where am messing the report???/
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)I had an existing report that was just moved over from SSRS2005. I needed to add columns to this report. I'm adding this information into the table(tablix) control. I'm not summarzing anything at the moment. I changed the proc to include the new data & refreshed the fields in the Visual Studio. I added the new data into the table and this is the error i'm getting
[rsInvalidExpressionDataType] The Value expression used in textrun ‘NetCreditsTotal.Paragraphs[0].TextRuns[0]’ returned a data type that is not valid.
The data type of this new data is money, although i have other money fields in this report. This new data shows up in the visual studio query.
When the data displays on the report is dispays as #ERROR
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to get the list of users/groups and their respective roles associated to a report.
I already went through the ReportingServices2010 API and so far no method (Including GetPermissions) have returned this information. Is there a way to get this information? If not, is there a way for me to create a method or function to return this information?

I have recently migrated several SSRS reports from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012.
When I initial view the filters they appear correct as follows; -
However when I check the rdl file out for editing and view the same filters they appear as follows; -
This results in my report filtering out unwanted data. Can anyone tell me how to stop this please?

I am getting "The expression used for the calculated filed '=RunningValue(Fields!QTYTONS.Value,SUM,"rv1") includes an aggregate, RowNumber, Running Value, Previous or lookup function. Aggregate, RowNumber, RunningValue, Previous and lookup functions cannot be used in calculated field expressions.
I tried many variations, =RunningValue(Fields!QTYTONS.Value,SUM, Nothing) -=RunningValue(Fields!QTYTONS.Value,SUM,"DataSet1") - to no avail.
All I want is to have a running total of the tons that were received and shipped. I tried Aggregate functions and SUM functions and all of what I tried get the same message.
I have a row group called "rv1" and a DateSet called "DataSet1".
I have a line chart showing data with a strip line to highlight data below a defined limit ( from 0 to 0.05 for example).
Works great.
Creating a copy of this chart and changing the horizontal x axis scale to log 10, the strip lines no longer show.

suggests that the StripWidth is measured in inches on the report - this is not the case.
I have sysadmin access to the sql server but i am unable to access the reports which i am using earlier. recently i have updated the server sp4 on current sql sever 2005.
how to re-enable the access to the reporting server. please help me.
I have a main report inside which there is subreport (using SQL Server 2012). I placed some page breaks inside subreport but they were not working. I read on technet forums that this is a a known issue with SSRS.
One solution I found is to put a table inside main report, then in first row add a rectangle and set its property "Add a page break after" and then add subreport after this rectangle in that table in main report. I did that and now in some cases it does show sub report on a separate page but sometimes it shows subreport on same page.
Could it be because in some case sub report has no or less data (hence it cannot cover whole page) and in that case it will always show on one page? How can I show empty subreport on a separate page?
I am new in pivot/power pivot. I designed cube in SSAS Sql server 2008R2 and working on pivot table in excel 2010. Grouping data it easily display but i tired to give multiple slice with drill down it throw an error saying exceptional error/not enough resources?
I do not have add on power pivot right now just connected to cube and used pivot table. To solve this issue do i need to add power pivot? does it need license? I would like to see whatever data what can i browse from cube in SSAS also in Pivot table format in excel?

Using an expression, is there a way to compare a full dataset (all values within the dataset) to a field (a textbox)?
Currently I can get it to compare the textbox with the first value in the dataset, but not the other values.

My question is rather a general one. I'm new to SSRS and I'm coming from Business Objects background.
We are currently using SQL 2008 R2. There's a reporting pland which is implemented on datasources that use stored procedures.
This approach seems a bit rigid as each time users need new piece of information a develpment is required.
As I understand there's no such thing as semantic layer that generates SQL on background.
Is there still a way to present the data to the users as a collection on business objects metrics, measures, dimensions and let them to build their reports?
What are recommended SSRS (SQL 2008 R2) pracices?
I will appreciate any shared exerience or links to useful resources.

I have Dataset # 1 Assessments and Dataset # 2 Referrals
I created the following =Lookup(Fields!Account_Number.Value, Fields!Account_Number.Value, Fields!Placed_Provider_Name.Value, "ReferralsPostedPlaced")
In some cases where there was an assessment, there was No Referrals and the results returns a blank field
How can I change blank field to display "No referrals" after the lookup

What I'm trying to do is when the report is exported to either Excel or MHTML some things show up that weren't there before. (Instructions, things we need to send to others in the company) Right now what I have written works on all the objects when exporting to excel.
=IIF(Globals!RenderFormat.Name = "EXCELOPENXML" OR Globals!RenderFormat.Name = "MHTML" AND Parameters!format.Value = 2, False, True)
So this instruction isn't visible when running the report, only when it is exported to Excel and the parameter value I have is also selected. However, when the parameter values is correct and I try to export to MHTML everything exports, but that data stays not visible. This happens for every data type other then "EXCELOPENXML". I have done tests just with a single document with simple expressions, and the conditional render formatting always works with EXCELOPENXML but all the other extensions just ignore it.
Any ideas?
