Hello,
I'm facing issue when opening the report builder 3.0 tool. Report server is configured in SharePoint Integration mode. I already have the FQDN configured for report server and in SharePoint (AAM) but still it fails when the end user is trying to access the report builder 3.0.
Just to brief on the instance setup;
SQL box setup
1. Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard/Enterprise edition with latest service packs and updates
2. SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition with all features except Reporting Services installed and configured
3. SQL Engine and Agent are configured in service account (domain account)
Web box Setup
1. Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise edition with latest service packs and updates
2. IIS enabled with all the features
3. SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SP2 installed in advanced mode and the database server is mentioned as above
4. Farm is configured with domain account (farm account)
5. Default site is configured with domain account (site account)
6. Authentication used for default site is NT domain accounts
7. AAM is setup for default site to use the FQDN (server.domain.com)
8. SQL reporting services is installed (only) with service account (same account used which is configured in the SQL engine and agent in database server)
9. Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Foundation 2010 is installed
10. Reporting Services is configured to use the FQDN, email settings is configured
11. SharePoint Foundation 2010 is configured to use the Reporting Services (General Application Settings) by granting the access to database, integration the report server URL with windows authentication (used the SQL reporting services service account)
12. Report Web services when clicked, open the Reporting Services window properly where it shows the SharePoint default site URL and on click shows the proper folders configured for use for reporting services
13. Report Builder launch URL is specified as /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0).application
14. IIS restart done, SQL Reporting Services restart done, even web server reboot done
15. When supplied the URL in browser as http://server.domain.com/_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0).application it start the clickonce window but after this immediately throws the error message as below.
16. Also, I tried to open the Report Builder 1.0 http://server.domain.com/_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder.application it fails with same error message.
17. After debugging several times, I am unable to resolve the issue.
18. I tried re-installing the Reporting Services (first uninstalled, then reboot, then folder cleanup, then install Reporting Services) but no hopes and the issues remains same as "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error."
19. Also, I tried with the fresh machine, wiped out the VM, installed OS, IIS, SharePoint Foundation 2010, SQL Reporting Services, etc. again no luck, the issue remains same as "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error."

Im working in SQL Server 2008 R2. Created stored proc (EXEC dynamic sql with CASE THEN ELSE ) on server with parameters works ok. But Report Builder on insert table not showing fields for arrange!
I found WORKAROUND http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=115829
But there is a easy way?
Hi,
I want to pass a report from my mainreport based on a SSAS cube to my subreport which is a NON-ssas cube (relationel datasource)
How can achieve this when my parameter is structured like this in SSAS:
[ProjID].[ProjID].&[be]&[PRJ180127-00001] - I only want to pass the Projectnumber(PRJ180127-00001) to my subreport
How to achieve this ?
I tried using Projectid.UniqueName - but this is passing the whole string [ProjID].[ProjID].&[be]&[PRJ180127-00001] - which my other report wont accept as a parameter.
We are using SSRS 2012. We have a report that conditionally formats a background color for some cells. The report renders properly in a browser and in Excel 2003 format. In Excel format all cells after the first one that meets the condition are highlighted, even if only one cell should.
The sample expression that triggers this condition looks like this:
=IIF(Fields!VIOL_NOTE.Value="Internal","Green","No Color")
All cells after the first one that meets the condition Fields!VIOL_NOTE.Value="Internal" have a green background.
Excel 2003 (proper) results:
Excel (improper) results:

Recently I had to change the password for our administrative SCCM account which was also used to run reports on a remote SQL database. Since the change however I receive an error stating that reporting services cannot impersonate the user. Full error message listed below from the SCCM side.

Now I have looked through the forums to find similar issues to the one I am having and have attempted the solutions. However, it appears to be changing the password on the SQL side back to something else even after I go in and tell it what the new password is. I hit 'Test Connection' and it gives me the green 'Connection created successfully'. Then I hit apply and all seems well. I can run a report in Report Manager but the second I attempt to run from SCCM it reverts back to some other password and fails. This results in the error message above. I have made sure that the password is correct across the board and even made sure to change it again in AD just in case I mistyped the first time.
Now within Report Manager I have changed it as well. When it tries to connect it gives the option to enter and save the new credentials. Which I have done and that doesn't seem to work either. When I go to manage the data source and change the credentials I select the 'Impersonate the authenticated user after a connection has been made to the data source'. For me it just seems that something else is telling the data source to revert back to a different password but I can't for the life of me figure out where. Someone please help!
I am trying to add a start and end date paramater. However I keep getting the following error
An attempt was made to set a data set parameter 'Start Date' that is not defined in this data set. (rsUnknownDataSetParameter)

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Any assistance would be appreiated
Thanks

SSRS 2012 Sp1
Hi guys,
I am using SSRS as my reporting platform, but I have always got the following issue.
SSRS ReportServer takes time to load.
The first time takes long, then less time but only if the ReprotServer web page is continuosly retrived.
HERE the problem:
If the ReprotServer page is not used after a short time (let me say 10 min), the page takes long time to be up again.
I have checked the configuration that is set as for default 12 hours.
Is there a way to speed up the ReportServer opening page time?
Thanks for your help
Im using a ASP.NET based site with fairly complex SSRS reports embeded. i designed the reports in VS 08. My DEV, UAT, and PRD database servers that house my rdl files run SQL 08 R2. my DEV DB server is in the cloud while UAT and PRD are regular VM's.
the series of reports worked perfectly in the past in all environments but these problems may have began with a recent modification to allow users to expand/collapse all in data tables below graphs in each rdl.
columns of tables are hidden in these rld's based on input parameters and data passed to them from stored procedures.
the logic that works perfectly in DEV to present the appropriate table layouts but in UAT and PRD they do not. when loading a view that hides the first two columns of the data table UAT and PRD is also hiding the data returned for a third column.
Im looking here for input on why SSRS data table group and cell hidden expression logic would behave differently in different environments given that the rdl's, webpage files (aspx/cs) and stored procedures are identical.
Hi i recently came through this situation when accessing the SSRS reports using report manager URL in chrome, the report are crashing for some reason, they are working fine some times but these days i am seeing that issue more often, i tried Google and i couldn't find any information relevant to this, can some one please help me on this.
Thanks in advance
Hello All,
We have a report that displays 10 images and a disclaimer. As of now all these are getting displayed in 2 pages and working great.
Now we have to extend this report to display similar report for multiple stores in a city. Images will be stored under this path. For 3 stores report should be (3*2) 6 pages with different images. Disclaimer also could change for some stores. Number of stores will be chosen from .net page at run time.

So I'm pretty new to report writing (in fact, have been working almost exclusively on extracts and pretty much forgot everything I had known about report writing). Now I'm putting together a report where I've hidden certain repeating elements using:
=IIF(Fields!Username.Value = Previous(Fields!Username.Value), "", Fields!Username.Value)
Here's the thing -- if the field extends onto a new page, I need it to show this value, otherwise it looks like there are records that don't belong to anyone. Can anyone tell me how I can modify this to get it to show the contents of a cell on a page break but continue to hide it if it goes on repeating?
Thanks!
Reporting Services is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Virtual Server. When I naviage to the report manager url i get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I click on Diagnose connection problems and get the the following error:
"The device or resource (xxxx-xxxxxxxx) is not set up to accept connections on
port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP)".
There is no firewall and the installed McAffe is not blocking port 80.
thank you.
