I have a small question,
I have a tablix with the below structure in SSRS.
Name ID Country PName Year
2016 2015 2014
A 50 Russia xxx 50
yyy 100 150
there is a Name, ID, Country where every column could be toggled and drill down. The Year column is my numeric field where I get the sum(Value) for products.
My question is, what are the steps to be taken for me to collapse the rows and apply a interactive sorting on column Year. I tried using the textbox properties and selecting groups but still nothing happens. I feel I may be selecting the wrong columns.
Can anyone help me on which columns to select and give me an idea of how to perform this.

I am having a problem with determining a workaround to this failing indicator. I have two datasets or queries. The first has detail oforders that is used for numerous chart and the second is a grand total ofinventory. I would like to have an red/green/light based on the following
The existing formula is in a table which is just one row of data displaying the total of the first dataset1
=(( Fields!ID.Value, "dataset2") - CountDistinct(Fields!Key.Value)) / (Fields!ID.Value, "dataset2")
When I tried to use this working formula on the indicator, it fails. I am assuming due to a scoping issue here is the messageAn unexpected error occurred in Report Processing. ---> System.Exception: For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors
Then attempt using a lookup and it fails because I am unable to use COUNT(DISTINCT...) on a lookup functions.
I just think that it is a waste to have query the data in dataset1 again with no details..
could anyone think of a good workaround ...

But I need to do pagination after exporting to excel based on row group. I dont want to do pagination before exporting.

I am trying to export my report to a CSV file. But, upon exporting the file the values are appearing in the reverse order. Here is an example of my report layout with few columns for your reference.
The first one is a Tablix and the second one is a Textbox. When the user selects a date and if there are any records, the records as well as their count should be displayed. If there are no records, an informational message will be displayed. Let's assume I have some 10 records returned. Then, I would like to export that report to a CSV file. When exporting to CSV, the 'Total Employees' count is appearing on the top of the file and the records are appearing on the bottom of the report. However, I would like to have the records displayed first and the count at the bottom in the CSV file just like the report.
Also, I would like to know if the title "Total Employees" can be hidden displaying only the count when exported to CSV.

I have an Azure AD account with a user setup up for Power BI. Using the Reporting Services Configuration Manager app, I am trying to "Register with Power BI".
The issue is that it keeps saying that it is successfully signing into Azure Active Directory, then reports "Failed Registering Power BI ClientApp".
I have not yet specified any credentials, so I dont know where it is getting the credentials to sign into Azure yet, or what account it might be using. Help documenation seems to imply that I should be prompted to enter a credential, but I am not, and there is no way to reset it (since the registration fails, there is no unregister button).
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to use the correct Azure AD account?

I have a project SSRS with SQL SERVER DATA TOOLS 2015 (Visual Studio 2015) and my SSMS its 2014 version, when I execute Deploy or Rebuild there are a lot of problems, so I am trying open the project in SQL SERVER DATA TOOLS 2013, but when I open the files .rdl its show the error:

So this is totally killing me.
I've found out how to make a tablix header row repeat on each page of a PDF export file in SSRS 2008 (which I won't even get started on because all I can say is that 2005 is way better), but I cannot figure out how to make a simple header row of a tablix freeze in an Excel export file. The tablix is right at the top of the body and spans the entire width of the design area. How in the world do you get it to freeze in the Excel export file?

I've been working with an SSRS report- exporting to PDF and Word,Excel,etc.
When exporting to Word, I get message: Your margins are pretty small. Some content might be cut off when you print....
I have tried adding different sized margins to the ssrs report and nothing stops this message from popping up.
If I make the margins too big, my content doesn't come out as it should. How do I resolve this problem?
I have a page size that is 11x8.5 and I am printing landscape.

I am just wondering if there is any method to freeze part of the Matrix? For example, if I have column group that contains 10items, I want to freeze the display of the 1st item and when I cross left / right , I will always see the first item in the group.

Prior to the RC3 to RTM upgrade my RS Web Portal URL was working and binded to a Wildcard certificate on 443.
After the upgrade the only URL binding is "https//+:443/Reports and I cannot remove it. There are two certs on the servers, one is the wildcard the other subject is the FQDN. I can add a binding to the FQDN based certificate which still does not allow the site to work. I get this message when trying to access https://etgctsql-as.edgetg.com
What I need is to bind the FQDN nbame to the wildcard cert on port 443.
Any assistance is appreciated!

Any idea why getting an #Error using the code below when the field(fp_firstshifttimein) does not contain value. But when the the field contains value, it works.

Same issue with the code below:
