Hi everyone!

I'm getting some strange problems with SSRS which I really don't understand.

To start with HTTP won't work but HTTPS will work. I'm not bothered about that really as long as one works.

The main problem is that I'm on my server and I'm trying to connect to the RS via the URLs but by IP. If I browse https://[Machine Name]:667/[Folder] it works but if I browse https://[PC IP]:667/[Folder], it won't work. What's more is that https://localhost:667/[Folder] doesn't even work either!

The reason I want IP to work is because I've forwarded the 667 port so that I can use the RS remotely. The hostheader may or may not be used. Obviously, if IP doesn't work locally, it's not going to work remotely so I want to get this sorted first.

The error I get if I try to get to RS/Reports by IP (in firefox) is:

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

In IE:

This error (HTTP 400 Bad Request) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the web server, but the webpage could not be found because of a problem with the address.

I've spent about 5hrs on this up to now, reinstalling, reconfiguring, assigning permissions, fiddling around to no avail and I'm now at a total loss! I have no idea what's wrong.

More Info:

I'm using Server 2003 and SSRS 2008 R2.

The report server service account I'm using is the built in Network Service.

Webservice site is using IP 192.168.1.200:656 for HTTP (which doesn't work) and [Hostname]:667 for SSL - I have no option to tell that to use an IP.

I'm using the sa account for both database credentials.

For the manager, I'm using 192.168.1.200:656 (which doesn't work) and [Hostname]:667 for SSL - Again, I can't change it to use an IP.

I'm not using an execution account.

Does anyone have a clue what is going on here?
