Drawing a diagram/map with SSRS

Looking for advice!

I am trying to represent some entity/table relationships within SSRS.

Originally I tried variation of boxes/lines/text boxes but due to SSRS not truly being a WSYWYG during the render it insists on putting things where it wants - so I get lines that don't join to boxes etc. I even tried to draw lines that were filled boxes but again I got vanquished!

Currently I am exploring doing the diagrams using geometry objects - I have a SP which returns 6 boxes and the connecting lines in a geometry object. The query also returns six labels - one for each box.

I use the map wizard and it plots the polygon layer. Then I turn on the line layer and it looks great. (I had to change something in the representation from mercenter to something else to get the boxes as they should be.)

Now the big issue. I mentioned six boxes and in the dataset I have six variables which are the labels - but.... It does not appear to me that I can get the labels into the boxes. I have put a single label on the polygon (right click etc) and this label appears to be on the topmost box.

I notice that the polygon is a collection element. Is there a way of setting a label on the individual polygons in the collection?

Note: I will try to draw the entity diagram here - but it is going to suck!

Imagine lines between each set of [  ] - which represent the polygons!

The data set looks like...

diagram::Geometry,lab1 varchar(30),lab2 varchar(30).....lab6 varchar(30)

If anyone has any ideas I would be extremely grateful

Stan
